2024 – Neil, it’s over to you! Soon, Neil will share his charity fundraiser and we can make a start!!

Neil has chosen Condover care and Learning (CCL) also known as Condover college as our charity of choice for this years fund raising challenge!

The residents are at the centre of everything they do, Condover College are committed to providing a quality education and individual learning plans, life-long care and opportunities for people with moderate or severe learning difficulties. With high quality care and support, they believe everyone can achieve their dreams and aspirations.

Neil is wishing to purchase some specialist play equipment for the organisation. As the equipment is non standard and has to be specially manufactured it comes with a hefty price tag. With our support, we hope to be able to deliver something that will enhance the lives of the residents. Please check back soon for more updates on our progress!

We’ve done it! – Our Society is FANTASTIC!

Again, our society has raised THOUSANDS!

Each and every year we have raised money for the captains charity, our society goes back to around the year 2005. This year I was asked to name mine, and I decided to buy a piece of medical equipment for our local NHS SaTH Children’s ward.

Together with the Pheasant pub, staff and customers, ourselves and our golf sponsors we have raised OVER the £5000 target to purchase the Veinsight VS5000 medical equipment!

The equipment greatly assists the insertion of needles into very hard to find veins. Think of poorly babies and children with not much of a heart rate, this machine prevents misses and ultimately reduces bruising and finds the veins without trial and error and without even touching the patient. It’s a fantastic piece of equipment.

We placed the order for the equipment on Saturday 30th, and we expect delivery on the 10th of October 2023.

We have around £300 left, that we will be buying some more items for the ward, things such as paint sets, teddys, colouring books etc.

I will be organising a presentation evening where I will ask our members to attend in golf attire and to bring a golf club, and together present the Veinsight VS5000 machine and all the accessories to the Ward Manager or their representative. Hopefully a newspaper or local radio media representative and a photographer will attend and get our story out to tell everyone how good our society is!

Please accept my sincere thanks, and you all deserve it for all your donations throughout the year for the various money raising events we did such as the Egg Hunt, The Phez fest, numerous meat and voucher raffles, and of course your loose change!!

Thanks again, Rich.

2022 Charity

Last year we were raising money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Charity.

After tallying everything up over the previous year, we’ve raised a phenomenal £5,035.90!

This includes Phezfest, an endless amount from the golfers and Michael Webb running a marathon!

We’d like to thank everyone who donated, attended events or popped a few quid in the tins on the bar

You’ve all made this possible

♥️♥️♥️
